Check out this cool article from the NY Times about how removing trays from school cafeterias can help minimize waste. CAS is considering removing the trays from Hasbrouck, do you think it would be a good idea for SUNY New Paltz?

365 coffee cups! Do you have a cup of coffee each day in a paper cup? In these photos you can see how much waste comes from a seemingly minor habit - you might consider using a reusable coffee mug to lower the amount of garbage going into landfills. By using less stuff and having less trash you are also lowering your carbon footprint. Remember coffee cups are not recyclable so once you are done with them, they go straight to a landfill.
