Recycle Mania 2010 will begin in February.

For the next 10 weeks SUNY New Paltz is participating in a waste reduction tournament with over 500 other colleges and universities across the US. The school that maximizes recycling and minimizes waste the most is the champion.

Not only is New Paltz competing against other schools like SUNY Albany, Harvard, and Ohio but the residence halls on campus are also challenging one another for the title of RecycleManiac, a grand prize party, and the official RecycleMania trophy. Each week recycling rates will be published and the winning hall will receive a raffle ticket to the final drawing for a Wii.

Help New Paltz and your hall be the champion by recycling your paper, plastic # 1,2,4,5,7 and aluminum. Also do not put any trash or food in the recycling bin, this causes contamination and the entire bin will become trash.
